Schedule

Check out the sessions to be presented in our four stages

  • Day 1

    May 25

  • Day 2

    May 26

  • Carlos Ambrósio, president of ANBIMA, and Gilson Finkelsztain, CEO of B3, welcome participants and officially open the Brazilian Capital Market Congress.
    Where
    Auditorium

  • Market players discuss ways to boost participation of private sources of long-term finance. The debate will be based on the diagnosis made by both ANBIMA and B3 with measures capable of expanding issuance volume and investor base, increasing liquidity and boosting savings.
    Where
    Auditorium

  • Nobel laureate in economics and one of the founding fathers of behavioral economics, Richard H. Thaler talks about factors that influence decision making and how that impacts the economy and the business world. Author of several books, including bestsellers “Nudge” and “Misbehaving,” Thaler assumes that people are not always rational when making choices, which often contradicts economic theories.
    Where
    Auditorium

  • Capital market expansion is directly related to economic outlook. GDP growth requires investments and, consequently, alternative sources of capital, given reduced government sources. To discuss this dynamic’s impacts on capital markets, we will bring together a team of economists who are up to date with the macro scenario.
    Where
    Auditorium

  • With the evolution of volumes and the diversification of participants, market infrastructures are increasingly concerned with promoting liquidity and fairer asset pricing, while also ensuring investor transparency and safety. Considering the growing presence of high frequency investors moving between markets, this panel will present discussions from the perspective of this group of participants.

  • The paths for Brazil’s development, with private sector’s participation through financing of infrastructure projects and privatization, will be discussed by market executives and government officials.
    Where
    Auditorium

  • Mohamed El-Erian discusses our current economic path, underpinned by central bank policy experimentation. He points to ominous signposts all around us: rising inequality, sluggish growth, political tensions, and volatile financial markets. He dissects continued pressures that warrant radically different monetary policy including youth employment, global wealthy inequality, market illiquidity, and the unsustainable map between financial risk-taking (high) and economic risk- taking (low). And then, thankfully, he outlines his vision for a renewed global economy, prosperity and financial stability.
