Eduardo Loyo is a partner and a member of the Board of Directors of BTG Pactual. He was the bank’s chief economist from 2007 to 2018. Prior to that, he had been an executive director of the International Monetary Fund and a deputy governor of the Central Bank of Brazil. He was also a faculty member at the Economics Department of PUC-Rio and at Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government, and visiting faculty at Columbia and INSEAD. He holds an Economics Ph.D. from Princeton University.
