Chairwoman of the Advisory Board of Goldman Sachs in Brazil, a company in which she was CEO and President. She was also President of other entities, such as the Brazilian Development Bank (BNDES), Olímpica Municipal, Icatu Seguros and Companhia Siderúrgica Nacional (CSN).
She worked at CNS as superintendent officer of the Corporate Center. She was special advisor to the mayor of Rio de Janeiro for the Rio 2016 Olympics, partner of the consulting firm MS & CR2 Finanças Corporativas, secretary of the Rio de Janeiro Treasury Department, and held different positions at the Treasury Department and at BNDES, including as Executive Officer.
She was a member of the Boards of Directors of several companies, such as Vale S.A., Souza Cruz, Petrobras, Anglo American, Grupo Pão de Açúcar, Light SA, Arcelor Brasil, Embratel Participações S.A. and Marsh McLennan Companies Inc.
She began her career in the academic life as a researcher at the Brazilian Institute of Economics of Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV) and as a professor at the Pontifical Catholic University (PUC), both activities in Rio de Janeiro. She holds a degree in Public Administration, and a Master degree and a PhD in Economics from FGV-RJ.
