Roberto de Oliveira Campos Neto has served as president of the Central Bank of Brazil since February 2019. Previously he served in various institutions abroad, including at Banco Santander, where he worked for 20 years in various executive positions, with his accomplishments including the launch of a global technology innovation project and participation on the Digital Bank project. Roberto is an enthusiast in technology and innovation in the financial industry – and also works on studies in blockchains, digital assets and various other new developments that will help shape the financial markets of the future. He holds B.Sc. and master’s degree in Economics from the University of California.
